Remember when I said being a therapy dog team would be Grace’s decision? Well, we are not a therapy dog team and it was, indeed, Grace’s decision. To be completely honest, I think we would have passed the exam, but I pulled her from the class about half way through the course. Why I have a tattoo

It was just about a year ago that I got my first tattoo. I say first, because if I’ve learned anything in life, it’s to never say never. I don’t plan to have any further artwork added to my body, but who really knows? I ended up at Mad Ethel’s Tattoo in Raleigh last year after debating about it for a few decades. Seriously. Kitchen Upgrade: The Big Oopsie

Of course no project can be complete without some little snafu, right? Here’s where I need some input. When the laminate counters existed, there was a strip of laminate along the side of the pantry that was attached with glue. When the counter was removed, as expected, the glue damaged the wood on the side of the pantry. I say wood, but it is actually pressboard covered in wood grain paper. Initially, I thought I would have a row of subway tile installed there, but after talking with the contractor, we decided that might look odd. One idea the contractor had was to call
