Just over a year ago (January 2014), I reviewed a few different brands of liquid make-up, and my favorite was the Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream (that’s a mouth full). You can see that post here. I can’t believe I am still using the same tube of make-up! I thought it was pricey at $48 for 1.7 ounces, but here I am 14 months later and finally getting to the bottom of the tube. I noted then that a little bit goes a long way, but I had no idea it would last this long. Doesn’t seem so pricey now. The product does not have an expiration date, and so far, so good.
I use the BB Cream nearly every day, and even when used sparingly, it provides great coverage. A year ago I was battling some harsh acne, and this BB Cream covered it well. Today my face is nearly clear, so I apply less. I was in a panic about how my face was looking on New Year’s Eve, and I purchased the BB Cream earlier that day in hopes it would do the trick. I am very self-conscious about these acne photos, so I’ve cropped most of my face and am showing you just my chin area. I promise you, both of these photos are me and they were both taken on the same evening, with the same lighting, as I was getting ready to go out. These are true before and after photos!
I apply the BB Cream with a brush and only occasionally use concealer for a blemish here and there. How did I clear up my skin? I’m not exactly sure, but have some ideas. I’ll share those thoughts once I get them in order. However, no matter the condition of my skin, I was excited about this product a year ago and I’m excited about it now. It hits all the important points for me: great coverage, SPF25, low Skin Deep score, and certified cruelty-free by PETA. Boom!
